Cucumber Mint Lime Juice

Equipment

Ingredients
  

  • 1 cucumber
  • 1 green apple cored
  • 1/2 lime peeled
  • 1 handful fresh mint leaves
  • 1 stalk celery
  • 1/2 inch ginger peeled

Instructions
 

Juicer method

  • Wash everything and core the apple.
  • Juice the cucumber, celery and mint first, then the apple, ginger and lime.
  • Stir and serve over ice straight away.

Blender method

  • Blend everything with a splash of water until smooth.
  • Strain through a nut milk bag and serve chilled.

Notes

Cucumber and celery are nearly all water, which is what makes this so light. The mint and lime do the work of making it taste like a treat rather than a chore. Nutrition is an estimate per glass.

Watermelon Ginger Lime Juice

  • 3 cups watermelon, cubed
  • 1/2 inch ginger peeled
  • 1/2 lime peeled

Instructions
 

Juicer method

  • Cube the watermelon and peel the ginger and lime.
  • Juice the watermelon, then the ginger and lime.
  • Stir and pour over ice immediately.

Blender method

  • Blend the watermelon, ginger and lime until smooth.
  • Strain through a fine sieve if you want it thinner, and serve cold.

Notes

Watermelon is about 92 percent water, so a glass of this fills you up for very few calories. It's best in summer when watermelon is cheap and sweet. Nutrition is an estimate per glass.
