Cucumber Mint Lime Juice: A Light, Hydrating Juice Under 100 Calories

This is the juice I make when I want something that feels like a treat but doesn’t weigh me down. Cucumber and celery are nearly all water, so a whole glass comes in under 100 calories while still filling you up. The mint and lime are what make it feel special, it tastes more like a spa drink than a diet drink.

There’s no magic fat-burning here, and I won’t pretend there is. What this does is simple: it’s cold, it’s refreshing, and it satisfies the craving for something flavourful without dumping a load of sugar into your day.

Why these ingredients work

Cucumber and celery are around ninety-five per cent water, which is what keeps the calorie count so low, you’re essentially drinking hydration with a bit of flavour. Green apple adds sweetness and some gentle fibre. Lime brings vitamin C and a sharp note that keeps the whole thing bright. Mint has been used for centuries to aid digestion, and the ginger gives a subtle warmth that rounds it out.

FAQ

Will this juice make me lose weight?

On its own, no. It helps because it’s low-calorie, hydrating and genuinely satisfying, which makes it a good swap for sugary drinks. Real weight loss comes from what you do overall, not from one juice.

How many calories is it actually?

Roughly 80 to 95 per glass depending on the size of your produce. Most of that is from the apple, so you can drop it further by using half an apple.

Can I make a big batch?

It’s best fresh, but it’ll keep for a day in the fridge in a sealed bottle. The mint flavour fades first, so add a fresh sprig when you pour it.
