The ABC juice, apple, beetroot and carrot, is one of those combinations that’s been around forever because it works. It’s sweet, earthy and bright all at once, and it’s become shorthand for a juice that supports your liver and your skin.
Beetroot is rich in betaine, which supports liver function, while the carrot and apple bring beta-carotene and vitamin C. The kind of juice your skin thanks you for.
Why these ingredients work
Beetroot contains betaine, a compound that supports your liver’s normal detox work, and its colour comes from antioxidants called betalains. Carrots bring beta-carotene, which your body converts to vitamin A for skin health. Apple adds vitamin C and sweetness. Ginger and lemon stop it from tasting too earthy.
FAQ
What is ABC juice good for?
It’s popular for skin and liver support. The betaine in beetroot supports liver function, and the beta-carotene and vitamin C support skin. It’s a well-rounded daily juice.
Is ABC juice good for your skin?
The beta-carotene and vitamin C both matter for skin health. It won’t change your skin overnight, but as a regular habit it genuinely helps.
Does beetroot juice detox you?
Your liver does the actual detoxing. Beetroot’s betaine simply supports it. No juice can flush toxins on its own, whatever the label says.
