Beetroot is one of those things people either love or avoid. If you’re in the avoid camp, this is the juice to change your mind. The orange carries the flavour, so you get all the benefit of the beetroot without the earthy wallop you might be dreading.
It’s a gentler introduction to beet juice than the full Heart Beet Elixir, and just as good for steady energy through the morning.
Why these ingredients work
Beetroot brings the nitrates that support healthy blood flow and, with it, steady energy. Celery adds vitamin K and keeps it fresh. Orange and apple carry the flavour while adding vitamin C, and ginger warms it through. It’s an energy juice that doesn’t rely on caffeine or a sugar spike.
FAQ
Is beetroot juice an energy drink?
In a natural sense, yes. The nitrates in beetroot support blood flow, which many people feel as steadier energy. It won’t hit like a caffeine drink, but it also won’t crash.
Does this taste like beetroot?
Barely. The orange and apple are sweet enough that you mostly taste citrus and fruit. It’s the easiest way into beet juice.
Can I make it in a blender?
Yes, though beetroot is fibrous, so strain it well through a nut milk bag. A juicer gives the smoothest result.
